I'm Gary and I'm a Glasgow based Full Stack Developer
My career to the present has been within retail store management and although rewarding, I made the decision to transition to a career in the technology sector in early 2020 and spent the subsequent time retraining in full-stack web development.
Since that time I have fallen in love with problem solving and creative development and it plays a large part for me in my every day life. I have even started to teach my 3 year old son how to type so we can make some cool stuff!

Profiecient in utilising CSS to a high standard and alongside many of its additional frameworks and libraries.

This is my most utilised language in development projects and I'm very comfortable with its use.

I have used the React library extensively for both my own projects and as part of a Software Engineer course.

Experience with PHP mainly as a means of Data Aquisition (Connecting with API's and Databases).

Gazetteer
The Gazetteer project was envisaged as a ’mobile first’ application which would work equally well on desktop computers. This application would provide profiling for all countries in regards to visually presenting geographic, demographic, climatic and various other sets of relevant data.
Technical Stack: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, Jquery, Ajax, LeafletJS, PHP, Curl.
Company Directory
The Company Directory project was developed in response to a fictional client request to provide a user friendly system to interact with a back end server database from a mobile or desktop based client that allows for creation, retrieval and modification of company personnel.
Technical Stack: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, Jquery, Ajax, Datatables, PHP, SQL.
